Tangram, a Southern California interior design firm with a location in Fresno, has expanded its presence in Texas with a new acquisition.

Tangram acquired BKM Total Office of Texas, expanding into the Dallas-Fort Worth area which will become the company’s regional headquarters.

BKM currently operates out of four facilities, with the main office spanning over 44,000 square feet and three main warehouses totaling 120,000 square feet. The company currently has 48 employees who have received renewal contracts through Tangram.

For the past 20 years, Tangram has been a leader in dedicated workplace solutions for creating spaces that empower people to work, learn and heal. Tangram’s industry partnerships and completed projects have been driven by implementing best practices in sales, marketing and technology, according to a press release.

Tangram will bring its expertise in healthcare, education and commercial spaces to the DFW marketplace and will be led by Tangram Managing Director Joe Lozowski; Vice President of Sales Amber Jones and CFO Nick Greenko. The Steelcase furniture company’s long-standing partnership with Tangram will also serve as a backbone for the evolution and growth of the DFW market.

“DFW represents one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the world,” said Lozowksi. “We look forward to working with the local commercial real estate and design community to develop amazing workplaces. “

“BKM Total Office of Texas has been a market leader and a leading voice in the Steelcase dealer network since 2002,” said Paul Smith, Director of Marketing, Tangram. “We look forward to building on the relationships and partnerships they have developed to continue to build a lasting brand and organization.

“The corporate furniture industry is innovating rapidly, requiring scalability, access to modern tools and resources,” Jones said. “Over the past 20 years we have built a strong marketing and sales organization in Southern California, we are excited to apply what we have learned to better serve the DFW region.”
